Day 1137-1141 in Sweden and NY

Day 1137 Up in the morning got picked up by Jake, Sharon, Ben, and the girls to go to Skansen, Chris wasn’t feeling too well so he stayed at home. We set out early so that we would get to Skansen in time to get a Parking space and not have to deal with the lines…well we were the first people there so no risk of lines 🙂 Did give me a chance to take some pics…

Then the gates opened and we got on the tram heading up the hill…Sharon and her boys…

We made our way up to the kid’s zoo…Nova and Ella found a big snake!

The snake got Nova…help!!

We went to see the goat kiddies…this one wanted to make sure we saw it was part of the Staff 😀

Nova got stuck under the Yolk in the giant Egg…

After the Kid’s zoo we made our way over to the Bears where we met up with Mattias, Julina, and Johan…Papa (or Mama) Bear chased the kiddies out from their hide out…

The kiddies preceded to play King of the Hill (Herre på täppan)…

A poor little fox was in the same enclosure as the Bears…it was curled up in a gulley in the rain…

We ducked out of the rain to get a coffee (Hallon Soda for me) and something to snack on (Swedish Cinnamon Bun…Yummylicious!)…Jake and the girls found a corner table

Johan is still not talking to me…and when I speak to him he gives me this look as if Who Are You…and Why are you talking to me LOL

After the “Fika” the kids went on a train ride with Julina and Jake, Sharon, Ben, Mattias, and I headed over to see the Wolfies…They apparently didn’t mind being photographed and posed willingly…

As Ben and I were standing by the fence one of them came up and looked at Ben with a…Are you Food? look LOL

I walked down to the window where you could see the Den…one of the wolfs came all the way up, unfortunately someone else used their flash at the same time as I took my pic so…my pic didn’t turn out great…but who cares there was only a pane of glass separating me and this gorgeous Woofie!

We also managed to see the Elusive Wolverine…Mattias told us with all the times he has been in the Zoo he had only managed to see it once before…he had started to beleive it was a Mythical creature 😀

After that we headed over to the Terrarium, Mattias and Julina had to leave…I guess I will see them again in August 🙂 The first thing I saw was a room with Lizards and monkeys…sharing space…

We walked into an open enclosure where they had Lemures…one of them jumped onto the bridge Right next to me and Jake…then it walked on the handrailing and brushed Ben’s arm on the way…ok that was a little awesome!

Most of them were packed into boxes keeping out of the rain…

There were Baboons…a little footnote, the jeep has “Fantomens” Good brand on it 🙂

The grownups were staying under the bridge construction to stay out of the rain…

After that we went inside the terrarium…yeah where snakes and spiders are!! they do also have Monkeys 😀

 We saw the snakes…some of them were absolutely gorgeous…

 

And then we came to the part that Ella and Nova had been looking forward too…me not so much!! I was time for the girls to pet the Snake and the Spider!! Nova was up first…

Again…brrrrr…yeah I don’t like spiders! I do admit that when we walked into the room where all the spiders were I did go and look in each glass container to make sure the spiders were all accounted for LMAO!! After that we were all ready to head back home, we met back up with Sharon and headed towards the car. On the way back to Tullinge we stopped by McDonalds…yeah it had been awhile LOL Went back to Mom’s did a little work…headed back over to Lina and Jake’s and watched a movie…21 Jump Street…it was funny! After movie I walked back to Mom’s met a couple of guys…it was sort of late and I have a feeling they were a bit.hmmm…drunk, since one of them went “Hello Gorgeous” ROTFL!! Got back to mom’s did a little work then it was time for sleep.

Day 1138 Slow wake up…I love those…then it was time to start packing my bags…my Mom was doing last minute laundry for me I know I am a teenager again LOL Later on Mom made early dinner for everyone…Swede and Aussie all in one place, Lina was missing since she was at Jukola, Chris was missing too he staid home since he didn’t feel too good! After dinner I Headed over to Heron city to the movies to watch Snow White and the Huntsman, Sanna, Thomas, Sharon, and Ben came with. Movie was not bad at all. Pit stop at Willie’s for last minute “necessity” shopping 😀 Went to Jake and Lina’s said bye to everyone sorta sad not sure if I will ever see them again…I may have to re-evaluate my decision about ever going to Australia…just not sure I will be able to…LOL After the good bye’s had been said Sanna drove me to Mom’s…get to the parking lot and I realize…I left my bag LMAO so we went right back I grabbed my bag then back to mom’s again 🙂 Tried to stay awake as long as possible so that I would be tired enough to sleep on the plane…but finally had to give up around 1 am 😀

Day 1139 Early wake up around 5:30 pheeww I am soo not a morning person LOL Said Bye to Mom since Gunnar was giving me a ride to Arlanda…arrived and checked in…

Got some breakfast at the airport…cinnamon bun…healthy LOL Had upgrade to Economy Plus…ended up with this woman next to me that would not shut up!! She kept trying to talk to me…do I really look that approachable in the morning…LOL I tried to sleep and as soon as I opened up my eyes she would open up her mouth!! Seriously!! I put my head phones on…still she didn’t get the hint she kept talking!!! Finally I coughed…since my cold had not gone away completely and she goes…allergies or a cold and I answe with a smile…a Cold…then she stopped trying to talk to me!!! Unfortunately this was not until the descent towards Newark LMAO!!! Got my bags and then headed out to call car service 🙂 While I was waiting for car service checked my messages on the phone…my landlady had called about a problem in the apartment…called her back turned out it was just the carondioxide alarm that had been beeping so she had walked into the apartment and taken it down…the batteries had leaked so I need to buy a new one…ahh well at least the apartment wasn’t flooded 😀 I also got a message from Foursquare…I was ousted as Mayor at Definitions!! Time to get back in the saddle and start going to the Gym! Got picked up and not too much later I was home in my newly cleaned apartment…

I have to say I really love my mommy…there’s nothing like coming home and not having to do laundry! All I had to do was put my clothes away…unpacking was quick 😀 Tried very hard to stay awake…but failed miserably around 7:30 pm I passed out 😀

Day 1140 Woke up around 3 am…yeah I guess that’s what happens when you fall asleep around 7:30 pm LOL puttered around the house for a while then I headed over to work…

NYC was being nice to me, it was only going to be 27C today…there is a heat wave coming though so I may need to turn the AC on tomorrow 😀 Had a pretty slow day at work, Boss was traveling most of the day. Finished work around 6…soo tired…wasn’t sure whether my feet would turn left towards the gym or right towards home after work LOL I did end up going left…had been a long time 🙂 Did cardio said Hi to Alan…he was so not impressed with my 2 strength workouts over the course of the last 3 week LOL…then home…managed to stay up until 11 pm so hopefully a later wakeup tomorrow ;-D

Day 1141 Woke up 1 min before alarm…I call that a succesful recovery from jetlag LOL Before I left for work I turned the AC on…yeah it was going to be 36C today! When I got to work I got a package it was a goodie bag filled with stuff

It was sorta funny the day that I fell sick in Sweden I was supposed to have gone shopping for a training jacket with my mm, she had one that she let me borrow that was an awesome material and I wanted to try to find something like it…well since I fell ill we never went…now I am glad we didn’t since in the goodie bag was an Awesome jacket in that same material! After work Cardio…got the Foursquare mayorship back…WooHoo I rule! No there is one thing I have to say cardio is soo much easier to do with eye candy around…and so much harder LOL falling of the threadmill is not the goal here LMAO! Walked home in the heat I have to say the I was even considering an ice bath! It was so hot outside that when I walked in the apt felt Cold and it was set to 24C!

Time to take a break…More updates to come later 🙂
