Day 2473 in NYC
Posted by Camilla on January 22nd, 2016 filed in NY UpdatesToday is Justin’s youngest daughter Krysten’s Birthday…WoooHooo…Congratulations sweetie Pie!
Went to get lunch at the Deli up the street today, the ladies at the counter were speaking Korean to each other and it reminded me of my first time in France. I heard people speaking French around me and I could understand a word here and there but not whole sentences…Put a smile on my lips 🙂 I remember when I moved to Nice I took a job at a corner market and I would ask people “Comment vous dites cela en Francais” (How do you say that in French) really bad grammar but it helped me on the way to becoming fluent in French…also reading really bad trashy Harlequin romance novels in French LOL Since they are all the same if you’ve read enough of them you can sort of figure out what they say in any language 😀
We have a Snowstorm on its way to the East Coast, I don’t think NYC will be hit that hard but people have already started putting salt pebbles on the street, the only problem with that is if there is no snow it becomes super slippery! Almost did a face plant in front of a bar up the street LOL Snow is supposed to start tomorrow so we will see if I’ll be able to go out walking or not…yeah every Swede reading this is probably thinking “What are you talking about, why can’t you go out walking if it snows?” LOL well see I live in NY and I am not as well equipped as someone living in Sweden…also I am not crazy LMAO!!! The only good thing about snow is when you have a wooden stove and can sit in front of the fire and grill marshmallows!
I am going to have to go outside tomorrow, laundry is becoming an issue…in other words it Has to be done tomorrow or I will have no clean clothes to wear LOL Where I live I have to go outside and around the block to use another building entrance to get to the basement…Brrrr…but if I get up early enough then maybe the snow will not have started! With that in mind I am heading to bed!
Stay safe out there and LOTSA LOVE!!
