Day 167-177 in NY

Get ready for some reading again…I know I keep saying that I am going to update on a regular basis…I guess I am not very good at regular! hehe. So this time I am going to give you bits and pieces instead of trying to get all caught up at once. So in the next couple of days you will get a lot of updates…until we get to the correct day LOL

Day 167 went to work in the morning good productive…short day…took off early to clean up since Lina & Jake was arriving the next day. Laundry, Dusting, Vacuum…yeah I was Productive!

Day 168 Finished up in the am house all clean just waiting for Sister to show up 🙂 Got the call they had arrived and found the car service. Called Mom to let them know. Went downstairs while I was waiting spent some time talking with one of the guys that work in the building…very nice young man but then again they are all very nice 🙂 Car arrived got their suitcases…very light! Got back up to the apartment took the 5-min tour…more like 2 min lol…they did some unpacking. Sat chatting for a while let them settle in. Decided to go for early dinner…before we headed out Lina let me know that she was pregnant!! Yay I am going to be an Auntie again 😀 So I have to say something though…my little sister was young when I moved away from home she hadn’t even turned 5 and then when I moved to France she was only around 10 years old so to me she is always going to be Very Young! I missed the teenage years, I missed her getting older and becoming an Adult…of course it doesn’t help that she has a babyface and looks even younger than she is 😀 so anyway my point is, here is this young beautiful woman, who is going to be 33 this year, she has 2 adorable daughters 4 and 2 years old and now she is expecting her 3rd and my second thought is She is Too Young to have 3 kids! I know it’s insane and she is as grown up as you can be she has her head well screwed on her shoulders…but to me she is still my Little sister the little kid that was there when I left Sweden and wayy too young to have kids! Anyway I am soo happy for her and Jake 🙂 So we headed out for dinner I took them to Cafè Centosette for some Pizza, walked around a bit showed them the neighborhood then back to the house.  Prepared the sofa bed, watched some TV…took about 5 min and they were out like lights! Updated on FB that they were sleeping…one of my buddies asked “What did you give them” too funny! Checked some e-mail and played some mindless PC games then it was time for my head to hit the pillow 🙂

Day169 Got up early headed down to Washington Square Park walked around took some pics, took a stroll down to SoHo, had some brunch at Le Pain Quotidien…really Good!  Lina and Jake headed out for some Shopping around the neighborhood. Went home and chilled for a minute then the Tourists came back with bags of stuff 🙂 Lina had found a favorite store just around the corner 🙂 Chilled for a bit in the afternoon then headed out for dinner…did Blue Water Grill I know that’s where I take everyone 🙂 Thanks go to Miss X for showing me that gem! Back to the house chilled for a bit, Lina found my puzzles 😀 Bedtime was early my guests were still on Swedish time 🙂

Day 170 Up early…guests were awake when I left they were heading out for some sightseeing and shopping. Went to work good day. Back home in the pm. Jake had found the video games! Headed down to Churrascaria Tribecca good food! Jake went to see a friend to have a beer. Good talk with Lina came home laid puzzle, Jake came sat chatting for a bit then it was time for bed.

Day 171 I went to work, Lina & Jake did the Sightseeing & shopping again 😀 Came home found Lina with the puzzle and Jake with Burnout:Revenge 🙂 Did Delivery and then prepped the sofa bed for them in case the fell asleep during the movie Fast & Furious III…at one point I say something funny about what happened in the movie and I get no response, turn my head and they are both sleeping LOL. Finished watching the movie then headed to bed. As for the movie…well I am glad there was Eye candy…A lot of Action…and above all Vin Diesel!!

Day 172 work was good home in the pm then headed down to Chez Jacqueline for Steak Nite then walked back home, Lina and Jake had started packing their bags…they ended up buying another one, they bought a lot of really nice stuff for the girls 🙂 Chilled for a bit, finished the puzzle 🙂 Then bedtime.

Day 173 worked from home in the am, had lunch with Lina & Jake then some last minute shopping found the cutest outfits for Nova and Ella…Jeans and T-Shirts 😀 Jakes buddy came by the house sat chatting for a while then the car arrived to take them to the airport. Worked from home rest of the afternoon…got caught up on some series.

Day 174 Long day at work…home relaxed with some Burnout:Revenge lol yeah Jake got me hooked again…hadn’t played that one in a while 🙂 Bed time not too late.

Day 175 Cleaned the house…spent the rest of the day getting caught up on my shows…Bones, CSI (all 3 oft hem), Criminal Minds, Supernatural, Smallville…and more…yeah I know I like to watch TV!

Day 176 Laundry in the morning…all the sheets/towels from when Monica and them were over…yeah I know I procrastinate! Now according to the shrinks apparently Chronic Procrastination may be a sign of an underlying psychological disorder…is that why my friends call me crazy?? LMAO! More TV-shows to get caught up on…so all of you may be wondering how can I have all these shows to get caught up on. Well I have 2 DVR’s and some nites I have up to 10 shows that I record so each DVR can only tape 2 channels at the same time and when you have 4 shows you want to check out at the same time then you need 2 DVR’s! Since I was on vacation, then had guests, had a couple of days to catch up then it was time for guests again…I hadn’t had time to really get caught up with all my shows 😀 Bedtime early…had some shows on the DVR by the bed to look at 😀

Day 177 Work then home…watch some TV. So I have started watching this series called Vampire Diaries…ok so I have to admit it is soo a series for teenagers…kinda like the whole Twilight phenomenon going on…but I am a Sucker for everything weird so I am looking at this series…and of course you have a “good” vampire and a “bad” vampire…two young men that are not bad looking now the only problem is that in some scenes one of these young men, the “bad” vampire of course, is really good looking but he is a Kid well maybe not a Kid but he is definitely beneath the 10-year rule! So it makes you feel a little Pervy when you look at this…ahh well at least they are Legal LOL.
