Day 232 in NY

Day 232 so last nite when I was going to bed with Casino Royale in my hand I figured it would take me about 5 min to fall asleep since I was tired…ohh nooo I ended up watching all of Casino Royale and then I moved to the couch and watched Quantum Solace on the big TV…so I ended up going back to bed around 6 am…woke up 10:30 to a brilliant day…sunshine Galore! It was Georgeous! Watched some TV in the morning then grabbed my camera and headed out for a walk. Went down 4th avenue then Bowery…snapped a shot of the building they were putting the facade on when I was apartment hunting back in March…all finished now and looking good.

One of the things that I find so fascinating about NYC is how you have these old charming buildings nestled right up to new glass and steel modern buildings. The building to the left is the Cooper Square Hotel on 4th Ave where I staid while apartment hunting in NY.

I found this old and new contrast while walking down Houston.

On the way back up to my house I stopped by Le Pain Quotidien and picked up a couple of Pain au Chocolat …I have now decided never to get those in the afternoon anymore since they were stale 😀 Later in the afternoon I came to the realization that I could no longer skip doing laundry so I got all the stuff together then headed down to the basement. Once that was done fixed some leftovers and put on Transformers…I did mention I am all for the explosions and wild car chases didn’t I 😀 Am now sitting watching “Not Forgotten” with the guy from the TV series “The Mentalist”, Simon Baker. He just tortured the shit out of someone there was blood going all over the place…Awesome LOL…even more awesome ending! It’s time to jump in bed and get some sleep! Goodnite all my friends and stay safe out there!
